Biodata photo tips
The photo is the first thing families look at. You do not need a studio — a phone, daylight and a plain wall are enough.
Before you click
- Light: face a window in daytime. Avoid tube lights overhead and direct sun.
- Background: a plain light wall. No clutter, posters or other people.
- Clothes: what you would wear to meet the family — solid colours look best.
- Camera: at eye level, about an arm’s length away, or ask someone to take it. Use the back camera for sharper photos.
- Expression: a natural, relaxed smile. Remove sunglasses and caps.
After you click
- Crop from the top of the head to just below the shoulders (a passport-style crop works well on a biodata).
- Slightly increase brightness if the face looks dark; avoid beauty filters.
- If the background is messy, BiodataBhasha can replace it with white, a soft colour or a blur — on your phone, without uploading the photo.
Should I add a full-length photo?
Many families send a second full-length photo separately on WhatsApp. The biodata itself works best with one clear face photo.
