How accurate is kundli matching by name?
It uses the first syllable of the name (name rashi), so it is an estimate. The most accurate match uses the janma nakshatra and rashi from the kundli — choose “By birth nakshatra” if you know them.
How many gunas are needed for marriage?
Traditionally 18 or more out of 36 is acceptable, above 25 is good and above 33 is excellent.
What is Nadi dosha?
When the boy and girl have the same nadi (Adi, Madhya or Antya), Nadi gets 0 of 8 points. This is Nadi dosha. It is cancelled in several situations, so ask an astrologer.
What is Bhakoot dosha?
When the two rashis are 2-12, 5-9 or 6-8 apart, Bhakoot gets 0 of 7 points. If both rashis have the same or friendly lords, many astrologers do not count it.
