The "About me" section is the only part of a biodata written in your own voice. Families read it to get a sense of the person behind the facts. A good one is three or four sentences, warm, specific and true.
The 3-line formula
- Who you are now: work or study, city, one quality others notice in you.
- How you live: a real habit, hobby or value — something specific.
- What you're looking for: the kind of home or partnership you hope to build.
"I'm a chartered accountant in Pune and the one my friends call when they need a calm opinion. I start my day with yoga, cook for the family on Sundays and read a little every night. I hope to build a home where both of us grow, and both families feel welcome."

- Copying a line that isn't true for you.
- Writing only adjectives ("simple, honest, caring") without a single real detail.
- Making it a list of demands — that belongs in partner expectations.
- Going past four or five lines.
