Maratha marriage biodata format (मराठा लग्नाचा बायोडाटा)
A Maratha biodata (लग्नाचा बायोडाटा) is usually written in Marathi and, besides the usual details, mentions the family deity (कुलदैवत), the devak and often the kul. Families also look at रास, नक्षत्र, गण and नाडी in the पत्रिका. The sample below (made-up details) is the same person in Marathi and English.

What to include in a Maratha biodata
- Kuldaivat (कुलदैवत): for example Khandoba of Jejuri or Tulja Bhavani — add it with “Add your own field”.
- Devak (देवक): the family emblem honoured at the wedding; many Maratha families avoid a match within the same devak, so they check it early.
- Kul (for example “96 Kuli”) under sub-caste, if your family uses it.
- Patrika (पत्रिका) details: जन्मवेळ, जन्मस्थळ, रास, नक्षत्र, गण, नाडी and मंगळ.
- Family: वडील, आई (with सौ.), brothers and sisters, मामा, मूळ गाव — and the farm or business if you like.

Maratha biodata: questions
Should a Maratha biodata be in Marathi or English?
Many families send Marathi to relatives and English to friends and colleagues. Make it once in Marathi, then switch the language in Design to download an English copy too — your details stay.
What is devak and why is it written?
Devak is a family emblem — a tree, plant or object — honoured at the wedding. Many Maratha families avoid a match between families with the same devak, so it is often written on the biodata. Add it with “Add your own field”.
Where do I write the kuldaivat?
In the Family section, tap “Add your own field”, write “कुलदैवत” as the label and, for example, “खंडोबा, जेजुरी” as the value. It prints like every other line.
